The MEDIA sub-programme’s support is for independent European production companies, and aims to encourage the broadcasting of television and online works such as dramas, documentaries and animated films.
Animation works: € 500,000
Creative documentary: € 300,000

The following projects are eligible:
The work must involve the participation of at least two broadcasting companies from two countries participating in the MEDIA Strand.
The work must be submitted by the first day of principal photography at the latest.
The exploitation rights licensed to the broadcasters participating in the production must be returned to the producer after a maximum license period of:
A minimum of 50% of the total estimated production budget must come from countries participating to the MEDIA sub-programme.
A minimum of 40% of the total estimated production budget must be guaranteed by third party financers (either through direct financing or advance rights sales).
The maximum duration of the project is 36 months.
