Where it was filmed 'The King's Man'

Shooting on the third chapter, and prequel, of The King’s Man saga began in London and continued in locations around Turin, which stood in for Sarajevo, where the British aristocrat, Orlando, Duke of Oxford (Ralph Fiennes), and his son Conrad (Harris Dickinson) are visiting his friend, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. During the parade along Lungo Po Diaz, Conrad saves the Archduke from the bomb thrown at him by Gavrilo Princip (who will later succeed in his attempt and thereby trigger WWI).

The following scene features the elegant outline of Castle Racconigi where the Archduke makes a speech and Orlando warns Conrad about the risk of war.

Princip is part of a group plotting to pit the Russian, German and British rulers against each other. The group’s agents also include Rasputin, advisor to Tzar Nicholas, whose son he poisons. He asks the Tzar to pull the Russian army out of the war in exchange for his treatment of the Tsarevich. This scene, and the Tzar’s abdication scene, both take place in the Galleria Grande and Chapel of Sant’Uberto in the Reggia of Venaria Reale.

Orlando heads to Russia with Conrad and his trusted agents Shola and Polly to confront Rasputin. At a Christmas party organized by Prince Yusupov, Orlando tries in vain to poison the monk. The scene was shot in the ballroom of the Royal Palace of Turin, where Rasputin is greeted like a sovereign.
