Parco Querini is a large green area (120,000+ sqm) in the historic centre of Vicenza.
With its vast lawns and a lush wood, the park has conserved a 18th century imprint, particularly evident in the long central avenue bordered by statues and sculptures. Paths lead to the small lake with a circular island at its centre which holds an Ionic temple, example of the graceful Neo-classical architecture of 1820. Part of the garden was arranged in the 19th century along Romantic lines.
Near the Rodolfi entrance is the Parco delle scienze, seven educational games that explain physical phenomena such as light reflection, vibrations, sound frequencies and optical illusions.
