Vito, a young boy from Calabria whose family collaborates with the local crime organisation – 'ndrangheta – manages to flee from those who killed his parents. He takes a rucksack that belonged to another young boy, the victim of a kidnap and slow death, and heads off to find his family in Tuscany.
