Viola and Dasy are literally joined at the hip, and perform at private parties along the Domizio Coast singing neomelodic songs written by their father and manager. Castel Volturno (CE), where the characters go about their daily lives, bears traces of its former splendour, and is now characterised by a beauty sullied by deep scars. The same scars borne by the two protagonists, forced to set their dreams of a normal to serve as the local sideshow.
The film showcases the various sides of the city, the churches of the Annunziata and San Rocco and the church and village of San Castrese, the Torre di Patria, and the Variconi and Foce Volturno nature reserves.
When a doctor tells them they could live normal lives if they are separated, Viola and Dasy go on a quest for inspiration, and perhaps a way of resolving their doubts, to the Antro della Sibilla tunnel in Cuma (NA).
What follows is a race in which the protagonist is the sea lapping at the coast, the same sea that rejects the two girls like debris, drowning their escape attempt and dreams.
