The adventure is set entirely in Palermo, although the locations in which the action takes place are not reconstructions of real places, but subjective reconstructions. The Church of San Giorgio in the game, for example, is based on the churches of Santa Maria della Catena and San Domenico, while the exterior of the noble residence was created with Villino Florio in mind. The cemetery and underground tunnels have also been reconstructed with influences from other places: the former features elements from the cemeteries of Rotoli and Sant’Orsola, while the tunnels are reminiscent of the Kanats in Palermo. Not only the locations, but the action too, is steeped in tradition, with the legend of Beati Paoli for example, a secret sect of avengers that allegedly operated in the 12th century.

Setting inspired by the Foro Italico
A graphic adventure developed by a small Italian team and set in early 20th-century Sicily. The story brings together documented proof and popular esoteric legends: the protagonist receives a letter from his antique dealer grandfather requesting a meeting with him to tell him about the curse on their family. After returning to Palermo, strange apparitions bring forward his visit to the shop, but when he arrives the shop is in disarray and his grandfather is missing.
