Part of the story is set in the property of the Quarini family, the location for which was the Casale della Giuncaia, a building on the Villa Monsoglio estate near Laterina (AR). A company of five Spanish dancers and their manager come here by mistake and spend the night. Levante (Leonardo Pieraccioni) works in accounting in another village, the roads he drives on an old scooter are in Poppi and Stia, borgoes in the Casentino valley (AR). The village bar when Levante hangs out with his friends and where the barlady Franca meets Naldone, the dancers’ manager, is in piazza Tanucci in Stia. This piazza also provided the locations for Pippo’s garage, Carlina’s natural remedy store and the Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta where Franca and Naldone marry. Poppi is the setting for the pharmacy where Selvaggia works in piazza Amerighi and the grocers in via Cesare Battisti. The company heads to Florence where they stay at the Grand Hotel Cavour before returning to Spain. Levante comes to see Caterina (Lorena Forteza) here and after dinner at Ristorante Beatrice, they spend the night wandering the city: as they wander piazza della Santissima Annunziata they discover that they both – more or less – have a passion for the poet Pessoa. They following day they say goodbye at the train station of Santa Maria Novella.
