Siblings Luca, Silvia, Mattia and Giorgio are very different: Luca is energetic car salesman focussed on growing his business; Silvia has fought addiction for a long time and is now 1,000 days clean; Mattia is a painter who looks rumpled and messy, apparently uncaring of what others think; while Giorgio seems serious and trustworthy, with a stable job and a needy family. They meet after years of estrangement following their fathers’ death in the childhood home which, to their surprise, is their only inheritance. To fix their financial problems, they decide to sell; however, as the house will not reach enough, they decide to tackle the problem in the only way that their overbearing father taught them: hunting.
Marco Bocci shot La caccia in 5 weeks in Lazio and Umbria: in particular, he used the historical centre of Rieti, including the palazzo comunale and Villa Bianchini Ricciardi, and Terni. Some interiors were shot in Rome.
