He has a young lover, Silvia, a confidant, Renata, a wealthy ex-wife, Sara and few friends. He wakes one morning to find a young French woman (Amélie Daure) in the house. Sophie has been sent by Sara to take care of him and the house. She is the perfect woman and he falls in love, blooming in a change noticed by everyone. Just when everything seems perfect, Sophie disappears. He refuses to accept her disappearance and searches for her, discovering a bitter truth.

Not le Vele or Scampia but the bourgeois milieu of the Centro Direzionale which resembles New York; Vomero; and intellectual settings.

Stefano, a successful but bitter and disappointed man in his forties, is the editorial director of a publishing house spending time in the lovely world of stories. He has a young lover, an older confidant (the publisher) and few friends. Separated from Sara, who has allowed him to stay in a home she owns, he wakes one morning to find a French woman in the house. Sophie has been sent by Sara, who has gone on a cruise, to take care of him and the house. He allows himself to be convinced and Sophie moves in, becoming the best housekeeper, cook and secretary. She is a mystery; and everyone is stunned by the radical change in Stefano, who blooms, as if “unfrozen” from a nightmare. His love for Sophie has set him free and brought emotion back to his life but just as everything seems to be going perfectly, there is a twist: Sophie disappears…
