30 nights with my ex is a comedy by Guido Chiesa that explores the possibility of rebuilding a dialogue with a former partner. Edoardo Leo and Micaela Ramazzotti play the separated couple, Bruno and Terry, parents of a teenage daughter, who find themselves living together again when she completes an emotional recovery process and is hosted by him for a trial period before her return to "normal" life. Bruno, who suffers from a textbook case of anxiety, finds his routine is tested by Terry's frankness and exuberance.
The film focuses on the challenge of reintegration, the difficulty that the so-called "normal people" have in embracing those who are not considered such and how those who are “different” can provide an opportunity to rediscover parts of ourselves – those buried beneath the weight of responsibilities and duties.
The filming took place entirely in Rome in summer 2024.
