Locations included: the Marciana Library, the island and Forte di Sant'Andrea (Venice), the Gritti Hotel (Venice), Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù (Venice), the State Archives of Verona, the Torre Del Museo di Castelvecchio (Verona), and the CNR (National Research Council) in Padua.
Palermo was another location: offering an area of the historic centre, the port area, and Partanna, while Tarquinia, Bracciano and Viterbo (San Pellegrino) were used for the medieval settings.
