Based on the bestselling “Non è la fine del mondo” by Alessia Gazzola and written for the screen by Federico Fava and Valentina Zanella, Non è la fine del mondo is directed by Valentina Zanella. In addition to Fotinì Peluso, Andrea Bosca, Paolo Ruffini, Paolo Rossi, and Ivana Lotito, the cast includes Barbara Bouchet, Anna Dalton, Susanna Tommasi, Lorenzo Pozzan, and Paolo Cioni. DP is Eleonora Castiello, editing is by Davide Vizzini, sound by Andrea Guerrini, the soundtrack was composed by Stefano Brandoni, and the original song "Non è la fine del mondo" is by Roberto Dellera and Diego Mancino.
Although the story is set in Rome, where the first block of filming took place in March 2025, K Plus Film shot most of the interiors and some exteriors in and around Verona to promote the area and generate a positive impact on the local economy, employing over 50 professionals, workers and suppliers. Some exterior shots in Rome took place at Cinecittà Studios and the perimeter walls of the Roman Aqueduct.
"Emma is a revolutionary, practicing female emancipation with the most devastating weapon at her disposal: kindness", notes director Valentina Zanella. "She struggles in a world where she feels inadequate, fighting a war with no casualties nor deaths, whose trophy is a place in the professional world of her dreams and the earthly home of her dreams: the abandoned villa with wisteria in a corner of Rome. She's clumsy moving through a crowded room, but cuts through Roman traffic on her beloved racing bike, inherited from her father. In the tradition of American romantic comedies written by Nora Ephron, Non è la Fine del Mondo is a film coloured with feelings, ambitions, and all the good energy that Emma brings to the viewer's eyes and heart, as she pedals her Bianchi through the streets of Rome".

Emma, a perpetual intern with unruly hair and sweet eyes, has to start all over again and get her life back on the line. An invisible temporary worker, she light-heartedly challenges fate in a dreamy and chaotic Rome: navigating misunderstandings, Harmony novels, and the villa of her dreams, Emma comes to understand that it's time to stop reading about other people's lives and start writing her own and that brooding producer, Pietro Scalzi, is not the story's villain, but its unexpected hero. A truly happy ending is really a beginning.
