The pantani (swamps) of Accumoli are small lakes of glacial origin positioned on the border between the Sibillini and della Laga mountain ranges in a small valley surrounded by pastures and mountain landscapes, approximately 1400m above sea level.
Between the end of April and end of October, the swamps become a feeding place for numerous animal species. Every morning, wild bulls, cows and horses head here to graze and drink creating a very natural filmic scenery. Even the fauna of the area is a wealth of biodiversity: the wild orchids are particularly interesting.
