The Solzhenitsyn garden in Trento, former Santa Chiara Park, stands on the area that was vacated after the transfer of the old hospital structure in the early seventies. In 1997 it was renovated according to a design by the Berlin architect Regina Poli. Of great effect is the grading of the northern part, marked by a variety of perennial herbaceous plants and by three hedges of yew, boxwood and privet. On the highest level there is a pergola with wisteria covering a walk embellished with six pink limestone fountains and benches and protected by a wall covered with stones. Characteristic is the pink lime stone fountain, a monolithic figure that is located on the axis with the hemicycle staircase, access from the S. Chiara Service Center, and the column of classical forms placed in the lawn. A concrete colonnade separates the part paved with gravel.
