Caprioli (or Fazzon) lake is located in val di Sole, in the Fazzon area of north-western Trentino, in the municipality of Pellizzano (Trento), 1,280 m. above sea level, in a shallow valley, surrounded by coniferous forests.
A forest path leads from Pellizzano to Malga Bassa di Fazzon, the first stretch of which is known as the gnome path because of the sculptures of gnomes, witches and animals in wood, stone and other natural materials found along the path.
