The FVG Film Commission has published the 2023 deadlines - 28 February, 30 June, 30 September - for applications to the regional Film fund.
The fund finances audio-visual productions that choose to shoot in Friuli-Venezia Giulia in order to boost employment and economic development and encourage tourism in the region, promote and protect the territory’s environmental, natural and cultural attributes (including through the use of green practices), and support the specialized technical and artistic industry resources available in the area.
Grants are offered for films and audio-visual productions shot in the region: Series or Documentaries, min. 90 mins; Works of Fiction, min. 52 mins; Documentaries and Short Films.
The categories - Series or documentaries and Works of Fiction - can expect maximum contributions to hit the €100k, €200k or €300k mark depending on the points attributed during the valuation process, to cover 20%, 25% or 30% (respectively) of estimated costs; while Documentaries and Short Films could access contributions of up to €10k and €30k to cover 30% and 35% of the estimated costs.
