Italy-France co-development and co-production: 2025 call for proposals now online

The instrument managing selective grants for Italian-French co-development and co-production film and audiovisual projects for the year 2025 (Bando per la concessione di contributori seletivi per lo sviluppo e la coproduzione di opere cinematografiche e serie audiovisive franco-italiane – Anno 2025) has been published on the DG Cinema and Audiovisual website – it has an annual budget of €1M (equally divided between DGCA and CNC) which will be disbursed in two sessions (€500k per session)

The call finances:

  • the co-development of films and TV series (up to €300k);
  • the co-production of films (up to €700K).

The sessions:

  • Session 1: from March 14 to April 3, 2025, 23.59 (CET);
  • Session 2: from 4 - 25 September, 2025, 23.59 (CET).

The projects must reflect a solid technical-artistic collaboration between Italy and France, even when the minority country.

The co-production grant may be accessed alongside the selective grant (per art. 26 of L. 220/2016 and subsequent modifications) and funding from the minority coproduction grant.

  • make an account on the DGCOL platform (available on the DGCA site);
  • register the details of the applicant;
  • register details of the work applying for a grant.
