The Villabassa/Niederdorf Train Station is situated in the south-eastern part of Villabassa/Niederdorf. 2006, after been acquired by the "Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano", the house was restored.
A lot of stations and hotels in the Pusteria Valley date to the industrialisation of the 19th century and give proof of the touristic boom of that period. 2013 the original part of the building, which is made of granite and has a decorated wood pediment, was declared "Station of the Year". To this part, becomed quickly too little for hold passengers, were added 2 flat wings. On the first floor, where once there was a flat there is now the local tourist office.
