The bridge, Ponte delle Vasche, is located in Bassano Romano (province of Viterbo), a borgo perched on a tuff rock spur, enclosed by two valleys. It was built in 1738 by prince Vincenzo Giustiniani to connect the village with the surrounding countryside and the Church of St. Vincent in particular. A holy shrine in the centre of the bridge conserves an excellent pottery painting of Virgin and Child by Bartolomeo Terchi.
