Since 2007 the Chamber of Commerce has been housed in new premises right in the heart of the town of Bolzano, located between the station and the Municipal Theatre. The building - designed following eco-friendly principles by the architect from Bolzano Wolfgang Simmerle - is rather plain on the outside, but behind the glass and metal of the façade lies the surprising interior, with a series of bright, differently shaped rooms and sections: the winter gardens, conference halls and library almost appear to be glass boxes within a larger box. The glass-walled offices are arranged around a large inner courtyard. The free areas and walkways that link the various parts of the building give each floor its own distinctive identity, as well as offering a wide range of different perspectives for cinema shots and still photographs, and it is no coincidence that in 2009 BLS Filmlocation set up office here.
