Applications may be submitted until December 16 for a grant under the Public call for support for audiovisual productions in Calabria 2024 (Avviso pubblico per il sostegno alle produzioni audiovisive in Calabria 2024). The call aims to promote and increase visibility of the region’s natural and artistic heritage, to develop the local tourism sector, raise awareness of the cultural, landscape and environmental resources and showcase the historical, cultural, religious, economic, social, popular and anthropological traditions of Calabria.
With a total endowment of € 5.9 million, the call finances the production of a range of audiovisual works and films, from features to shorts plus TV works and documentaries.
The requirements, which vary according to category, include the obligation to spend 100% to 130% of the grant in the region and to film in Calabria for a minimum number of days. Feature-length films and works in categories A and D must include a national and/or international distribution plan, proven by contract or letters of intent, in their application.
The intended recipients are Large Enterprises and SMEs.
