Roberto Cicutto has been elected president of Eurimages, the Council of Europe Fund dedicated to film and audiovisual co-productions, for which Italy is a permanent member of the Executive Committee together with France and Germany.
“Producer and distributor of successful films, President and CEO of Istituto Luce-Cinecittà, then President of the Venice Biennale. After long experience in the film industry, Roberto Cicutto is now at the helm of the Fund. His appointment as President of Eurimages fills us with pride, an election that confirms the leading role of our country in the development of the European film and audiovisual industry”, noted the Undersecretary of Culture Lucia Borgonzoni.
Nicola Borrelli, Director of the General Directorate Cinema and Audiovisual, Ministry of Culture, and Eurimages representative, said: “I would like to express my congratulations to Roberto Cicutto for this prestigious role which recognizes his professionalism and skills.
