The adventure begins in Venice in 1271. Marco Polo finds a way of running away from home and boarding a ship against the advice of his father. Following the prologue that shows his departure, we see him return to Venice 25 years later. Arrested by the Genoese, in prison he meets Rustichello da Pisa, an Italian writer who is famous for writing none other than the tome The Travels of Marco Polo. The tales that the explorer tells the writer trigger the beginning of the game.

A graphic adventure game based on the famous book of the same name by the Italian explorer and merchant. Disobeying his father Niccolò, Marco boards a ship and spends the next 25 years travelling from Italy to Asia, visiting Acre, Jerusalem, Armenia and the Himalayas. The adventure consists of the player looking for items and solving puzzles.
