The history of Casa Noha starts in the 16th century, when the noble family Noha built this extraordinary example of private architecture inside the “Sassi” of Matera. Close to the Cathedral, simple and well-conserved spaces rule over the Sasso Caveoso, preserving the original charm that donates to the location a rough but evocative atmosphere. An ancient house that today, thanks to the work of FAI, represents a must for the visitor who wants to know the real spirit of Matera: indeed, inside the house a multimedia-narration introduces to the astonishing history of this unique city.
