Villa Borzino stands on Strada dei Giovi, immersed in the park of Busalla (GE). Designed by architect Giuseppe Crosa di Vergagni in 17th century Genovese style, it has a rectangular layout and classical elements in trompe-l’oeil on the facade. The interiors are equally elegant and showy with 50+ rooms decorated with marble and plasterwork from the early 1900s. The basement houses kitchens, laundry and cellars. On the ground floor are the dining room, Emilio Borzino’s study, the library and several reception rooms like the oval shaped one in the tower.
Embellished by hedge and tree lined paths, the park has a nymphaeum decorated with mosaics of precious stones, shells, coral and glass tiles.
