The Lagundo chairlift is one of the few lift systems in the Alps designed solely for excursionists. The chairlift ascends from Velloi and reachs the mountain station of Lagundo approx. 500 m from the Church of Velloi. Rio Lagundo, a countryside hamlet of Lagundo, which can be reached by the Aschbach cable car, offers excellent views of the Texelgruppe Nature Park. Passing woods and vineyards, the lift crosses Plars to reach Leiter Alm at 1,550 m, a departure point for the Merano High Mountain trail.
