The Sanctuary of Madonna delle Cese is located near Collepardo (province of Frosinone), its position making it one of the most evocative places of worship in the Ciociaria area. The small chapel was built in 1600 approx. in a cliff, set in a cave often used as a dwelling by hermits. The sanctuary houses an oil painting of the Madonna del Carmelo, protectress of the Carthusians.
The history of the Sanctuary of Madonna delle Cese is closely tied to the nearby Charterhouse of Trisulti, a couple of kilometres distant, which can be reached on foot along a trail.
