Molise: €2 million in funding for film and audio-visual productions

Recognising that the cinema and audio-visual industry is a strategic factor in the development of the economic, cultural and tourism sectors of the region, capable of stimulating internal economic generation, increasing employment and increasing visitor numbers to the area, the Regione Molise government has published a Call for Tenders for contributions to support production businesses that are operational in Italy and/or Europe and will shoot a significant portion of their film and audio-visual projects in the region.

The intention is to contribute to the development of the regional cinema and audio-visual industry, to boost the professional levels of industry members and promote the region.

The Call, worth € 2 million, is intended for the financing of films and series (for cinema, TV and Web) with a maximum contribution of €400k, covering up to 50% of the eligible expenses.

To be eligible, the works must have scheduled a minimum of 9 days of work in the region, with expenses of €30k (minimum) and meet one of the following criteria:

• no less than 50% of total shoot days must be in the region;
• at least 50% of the production budget must be spent in the region.

Applications may be submitted from 11.00 am (CET) on Monday 3 October 2022 until 11.00 am (CET) on Friday 14 October 2022.
