Film and audiovisual production grants in Veneto –first deadline on 30 June

The call for applications for grants for film and audiovisual production in the Veneto region has been posted on the Regione Veneto website, with a budget of €3.68 million.

The call implements the Veneto Region's ERDF 2021-2027 Regional Development Fund (PRERF) with the aim of:

  • strengthening the competitive positioning of Veneto companies operating in the film and audiovisual sector;
  • enhancing the technical and artistic expertise of Veneto's audiovisual sector;
  • promoting awareness of the region's artistic, landscape and cultural heritage.

The call will be managed in two sessions, each disbursing €1.84 million: the first has a deadline of 30 June 2026, while the second will be open 1 December 2026 – 2 February 2027.

The allocations are as follows:

  • Type A "feature-length fiction or animation films, series (fiction, documentary, docufiction, animation)": €3,300,000
  • Type B "Doc, Short, and XR (Extended Reality)": €380,000

The maximum grant available covers:

  • 49% of eligible expenditure for Type A projects, to a maximum of €245,000 for feature-length fiction or animation films and €343,000 for series;
  • 59% of eligible expenditure for Type B projects, to a maximum of €35,400.

The grant is subject to a minimum expenditure in the region of €150,000 (Type A) and €20,000 (Type B).

If the applicant intends to request environmental certification, the grant limits increase to 50% of eligible expenditure with €250,000 for feature films and €350,000 for series (Type A), and 60% of eligible expenditure and €36,000 for Type B projects.
