The first call for proposals in support of international audiovisual works for 2020 is now available: the €5 million budget includes €2.5 million earmarked for audiovisual works of regional interest.
The goals of the call include: the support and improvement of the competitivity of businesses in the film production industry and its aggregate economic effect, also through intensifying co-productions with foreign producers; and an increased international visibility for destinations in Lazio, especially areas less-known than Rome, to thereby increase and bolster the position of the region’s tourism industry in the market.
Applications must be completed on the GeCoWEB platform (where the relevant form is provided and the documentation requested must be uploaded). The platform will then generate a file, which includes the Application, Certificate of requisites and form, for the applicant to download.
The legal representative for the Applicant must affix a Digital Signature for the file, add other certificates requested (also with Digital Signature) and send the application by PEC (Classified E mail) to incentivi@pec.lazioinnova.it, from 12 noon on 15 January 2020 until 6 pm on 13 February 2020, unless the desk is closed early. The Form will be available on line at GeCoWEB until 12 noon on 13 February 2020, unless the desk is closed early. Early closure will occur when requests for funding total over €10 million.
The €22 million earmarked by Regione Lazio in 2019 established it as the leading region in Italy, the second in Europe, for investment in cinema, with support for every phase of the process, from production, through to distribution in theatres and outside screens.
