Call Me by Your Name is a delicate story of love and self-discovery. Elio falls in love, which is reciprocated, with Oliver, a charming student from the United States and guest of his father (Michael Stuhlbarg), a professor of architecture, and mother (Amira Casar) at their country house. The film, directed by Luca Guadagnino, has been nominated for four Oscars, including the Oscar for Best Film. The film notably features Villa Albergoni, a home nestled in the green countryside of Moscazzano in the province of Cremona. The estate was originally a 16th-century fort, surrounded by eight hectares of park. Since the 1950s it has belonged to the Albergoni family. Guadagnino has known about the location for some time, and for his film he used a lot of original furniture. Today the villa is up for sale and, thanks to the success of the film, is seeing an increasing number of visitors.
