Many of the events that take place are set in the village of San Candido, including the locations for the characters’ homes, the hospital and hotels. Other scenes were shot near the famous Tre cime di Lavaredo, a symbol of the Dolomites and the Sexten Dolomites in particular, and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
However, the most symbolic setting of the series is the emerald-green Lake Braies, where the Commander of the Forest Rangers lives in a wooden stilt house.
