Where it was filmed 'Garibaldi's Lovers'

The characters’ lives unfold in the streets and piazzas of Turin, mainly in Piazza Castello, which is home to the bookshop where Amanzio goes to read without buying, Corso Vercelli, where both Amanzio and his lodger Diana live, and the porticos of Piazza Vittorio Veneto and Piazza Maria Teresa, where the property used by lawyer Malaffano in his scams is located. Other locations used include the municipalities of Grugliasco, Nichelino, San Mauro Torinese and Venaria.

The disappearence of Leo’s younger son Elia takes the former to Switzerland, but these scenes were actually filmed in Val d’Ayas in Soussun in Valle d’Aosta.
