Where it was filmed 'Se son rose'

The backdrop to the film is the Mugello area with its roads, landscapes and borghi. Leonardo’s home, his sanctuary, is based at the Museo della Manifattura Chini inside Villa Pecori Geraldi, Borgo San Lorenzo (FI), here we follow his ironic conversations about love and more with his neighbour, Mrs Coscia. The story opens on the threshold of Pieve di San Lorenzo, with a close up of the Edicola di San Francesco made in 1926 by Manifattura Chini, in Borgo San Lorenzo: nearby a Caritas soup kitchen opens. Other locations in Borgo San Lorenzo included the Teatro Giotto where Leonard is presented with an app to make auditions easier.

An ex-girlfriend teaches philosophy and Leonardo takes her flowers at the university complex in Piazza Ciardi, Prato. He goes there after passing through Piazza del Comune, by the Fontana del Bacchino, while attempting to talk to the voice assistant on his smart phone.

When Leonardo meets Fabio, his ex-wife’s husband, to test an app, the chosen location is Castello di Villanova, in the hamlet of Le Maschere, Barberino di Mugello (FI). Another meeting is set in Piazza dei Vicari, Scarperia (FI).

Leonardo meets another ex-girlfriend in a boat on the quiet waters of Lake Bilancino: this time it is Fabiola, his daughter’s mother, and the encounter gives them both the opportunity to reassess their life.
