Marco, a brilliant, self-centred actor, is engulfed in controversy after offending a colleague on set and is subsequently removed from every production he is involved in. Forced by his agent to embark on a mission of "redemption," he accepts his aunt's offer to teach drama in the prison of Bassano del Grappa, the town he fled to become an actor. Awaiting him is Aunt Tina, a social worker and aspiring Miss Marple, also dispenser of pearls of wisdom. However, his prison mission proves far from easy. Here, he reunites with Arianna, his childhood sweetheart, unjustly imprisoned for a scam involving the family business. The course gradually provides a stage for the inmates to experience redemption and second chances, for Arianna to prove her innocence, and for Marco to rediscover the value of acting. Complicating matters further is Francesco, Arianna's lawyer, who is hiding more than a few secrets. While theatre restores voice and identity to those who have lost it, Marco and Arianna have to figure out if it's really too late to rewrite their ending.
