The Church of Santa Maria Maggiore dates back to the 13th century. Built from white Majella stone, it is the cathedral of the municipality of Guardiagrele (CH). The church is made up of one hall and has an impressive square bell tower and a gate in Gothic Abruzzese style. Inside are frescoes and stuccos dating back to different periods, right up the present day.
