The Port of Livorno is the main seaport in Northern Italy. Overall, the Port of Livorno covers 11 linear kilometres between its docks and jetties, with 100 berthing points. Darsena Vecchia is the oldest part of the port, built on the orders of the Medici family, with approximately 1,700m of berthing points on the western shore and 750m on the eastern shore.
