Italy for Movies will attend the ‘Location of the Year’ awards on 26 March. This year the award, which is presented by the IDM Film Fund & Commission, goes to the city of Merano, and is an opportunity to talk about film and the opportunities it brings for local areas.
Over the course of the day, which will be held
at the Kunst Meran Merano Arte atelier, national and international experts will
illustrate the many opportunities offered by film to local areas in terms of
cultural and economic growth. In the afternoon there will be a workshop for
local stakeholders which will focus on how to identify new forms of businesses
associated with film, how to make areas more accessible to television and film
productions, and the interaction between local areas and the film industry.
