Rome and Genzano welcome Fast & Furious 10

Rome’s historic centre “invaded” by the cast and crew of Fast & Furious, the famous car racing action saga from Universal Studios, which has seen the addition of spy story and heist movie elements over the course of its various instalments.

Thrilling scenes for the 10th movie will be shot in twenty-odd streets of the capital, in particular, lungotevere Aventino, via del Teatro Marcello, via de' Funari, via degli Astalli, piazza Campitelli. Following the Rome shoot, the production moves to the area of the Castelli Romani, in particular Genzano to shoot in via Belardi and via Buozzi on 16-17 May.

Vin Diesel returns as Dominic Toretto, car racing champion and criminal on the run, his antagonist is Jason Momoa. The cast includes Brie Larson, Charlize Theron, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Sung Kang and Daniela Melchior.

The penultimate film in the twenty-year action saga is due for theatrical release in 2023 and will narrate the first half of a story whose ending will be revealed in the 11th chapter.  Fast & Furious is one of Universal’s most long running and successful franchises and has generated multiple sequels and spin-offs since the release of the first movie twenty years ago.
