The Alto Adige shoot for A Whole Life, the film adaptation of Robert Seethaler’s multiple best-selling novel, took place recently near Dobbiaco. The film, written by Ulrich Limmer, centres around the main character, elderly Andreas Egger who takes stock of his eighty years, considering the violence, war, poverty and great love in his life. Stefan Gorski plays Egger from 17 to 45 and August Zirner the elderly man.
A Whole Life is a co-production from epo-film (Vienna) and TOBIS Filmproduktion München, financed by IDM Film Commission in the third call of 2021. Following a winter shoot in Matrei, East Tyrol, the set moved to the Dolomites in recent weeks, to later return to East Tyrol and Bavaria.
The production is one of the 2022 projects adhering to the IDM Green Shooting protocol. The check sheet for the requisites required in loco is managed by Ecoistituto Alto Adige.
