Regione Veneto: €1.5 million for audiovisual production

As part of the Programma Operativo Complementare 2014-2020, in alignment with POR FESR 2014-2020, the Regione del Veneto has announced a call for bids in support of film and audio-visual productions in the region.

The goal is to:  strengthen and improve the market competitivity of businesses in the cinema industry and encourage their activity, also by increasing collaboration with foreign producers, and to promote awareness of the Region’s artistic and natural heritage and local traditional products.

With an endowment of €1.5 million, the call targets Italian and international production companies that intend to shoot all or part of their audio-visual works in the Veneto region, for categories including:  Fiction (TV series or feature-length dramas), Animation, Doc (documentaries), Short (short films) and XR (Extended Reality), i.e. VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality) and MR (Mixed Reality).

The maximum individual contribution available is €200k for Fiction and Animation and €30k for Doc, Short and XR categories, up to 50% of the expenses borne.

Those submitting requests for grants must outline a minimum eligible spend in the Veneto Region of €200k for projects in the Fiction and Animation categories and €20k in the Doc, Short and XR (Extended Reality): VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), MR (Mixed Reality) categories.
