Description

The Lucana Film Commission works to support Italian and European audiovisual, film, and television production companies producing in Basilicata in order to promote regional locations and the regional film industry’s workers and suppliers.

The initiative supports the production phase of audiovisual works or series through the provision of non-repayable grants.

  • Documentaries: 30%
  • Short films: 70%
  • feature films: 50%

  • Non-repayable grants

Requirements

  • Must be registered in the Registro Cinematografico delle Imprese (Film Companies Register)
  • The applicant must demonstrate possession of:
    1. financial coverage for the project equal to 30% (minimum) of the total cost;
    2. a ??deal memo or distribution contract with a broadcaster or media service provider on other platforms of national and/or international importance;
    3. a production plan with a minimum of 80% of shoot days in Basilicata.
  • Companies must have a registered office or local branch in Basilicata.

Payment schedule

The grant will be paid to beneficiaries as follows:

  1. Single payment:  upon completion of post-production, following submission of appropriate final reporting documentation;
  2. In instalments: 
    • Advance of 30% of the grant, upon request and upon submission of a bank guarantee or insurance policy; 
    • Balance, upon request, following completion of post-production and upon submission of the final financial reports.

Notes

Beneficiaries must complete production of the audiovisual work no later than 12 months from the date of signature of the terms and conditions.

The funding application must be submitted via certified email (PEC) to lucanafilmcommission@pec.it.
