Description

The grant aims to:

  • make film production companies and the related satellite companies more competitive, also through more intense partnerships with foreign producers;
  • give greater international visibility to tourist destinations in the Lazio Region, particularly places of artistic and cultural value that are more marginal today.

50% of the funding in each window shall nonetheless be reserved for audiovisual works deemed of “regional interest or “particular regional interest”.

Requirements

  • Italian nationality must be requested
  • Must be registered in the Registro Cinematografico delle Imprese (Film Companies Register)
  • Minimum net assets: €40,000
  • Tax residence in Italy and based in the Lazio Region 

Payment schedule

The contribution will be distributed as follows:

  • An advance (which must be requested within 30 days from the date of signature of the Atto di Impegno) of between 20% (minimum) and 40% (maximum) of the amount granted, guaranteed by a surety bond attached to the request;
  • One or more payments as State of Work Advances (Stato Avanzamento Lavori) with accounting that documents the Expenses Paid of no less than 20% of the Admitted Expenses;
  • A final payment (which must be requested within 15 months from the transmission date of the Atto d’Impegno, with the accounting documents for the Expenses Paid.  This deadline is extended to 27 months for Animated works or works that are longer than 220 minutes (series).

Notes

If principal photography has not started within 12 months from the concession date, the grant will be revoked.
