Description

The grant aims to:

  • make film production companies and the related satellite companies more competitive, also through more intense partnerships with foreign producers;
  • give greater international visibility to tourist destinations in the Lazio Region, particularly places of artistic and cultural value that are more marginal today.

50% of the funding in each window shall nonetheless be reserved for audiovisual works deemed of “regional interest or “particular regional interest”.

Requirements

  • Italian nationality must be requested
  • Must be registered in the Registro Cinematografico delle Imprese (Film Companies Register)
  • Minimum net assets: €40,000
  • Tax residence in Italy and based in the Lazio Region 

Payment schedule

The grant will be disbursed as follows:

  • Advance (mandatory), to be requested within 10 months of the grant announcement, for a minimum of 20% and a maximum of 40% of the total grant, guaranteed by a surety bond submitted with the application;
  • Balance, to be requested within 30 days of submitting the final request for tax credit for the production of cinematographic works and, in any case, within 18 months of the grant announcement; failure to comply will result in withdrawal of the entire grant (30 months for works over 220 minutes; and animated works).

Notes

If principal photography has not started within 12 months from the concession date, the grant will be revoked.
