The MiBACT-MFA agreement aims to encourage cooperation between Italian and Macedonian producers by supporting the co-development of projects capable of pulling in audiences in each of the respective countries and the rest of the world.
Works must involve at least one Italian producer and one Macedonian producer.
The direct contribution of producers must represent at least 20% of the development costs.
The respective contributions of each country may vary between 20% and 80%.
Both producers, at the end of the development stage, must submit a detailed production plan, supported by documentation proving contacts with any funding or distribution partners or broadcasters, as well as the final version of the screenplay.
The grant will be paid in two instalments:
Filming must begin within two years of the first grant payment.
