Where it was filmed 'The Godfather - Part II'

Filming mainly took place in Las Vegas and Paramount Pictures studios in Los Angeles in California.
The scenes set in Cuba were actually filmed in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic.
Vito’s past references the city of Corleone (Palermo), but scenes taking place here were filmed in the municipalities of Forza d'Agrò, Savoca, Motta Camastra (in the province di Messina) and Acireale (CT).
With regard to the famous scene in which young Vito Corleone arrives in New York, the interior shots were actually filmed in Trieste in the Salone degli Incanti, a former fish market on Nazario Sauro bank.

Plot

The second instalment in the famous trilogy first tells the tale of young Vito Corleone, to then focus on his son Michael almost 50 years later. Vito’s story tells of his rise through the world of criminality and revenge against those responsible for the death of his family. His son Michael must instead come to terms with his brother’s betrayal, his wife’s abortion, and an organisation at risk of breaking apart.
