Where it was filmed 'Màkari'

The investigations of Saverio Lamanna, based on the books by Gaetano Savatteri, are set and shot in the tip of Sicily amidst the natural pristine landscapes of the province of Trapani.

The little fishing village of Macari is the main setting, along with the gulf of the same name, a coastline dominated by mount Cofano. Some scenes were shot in the municipality of Castellammare del Golfo, overlooking the gulf of Trapani, including the Zingaro Nature Reserve and the tonnara of Scopello, used as the location for the restaurant where beautiful Suleima works.

Locations also included the coastline of Sibiliana near Marsala, San Vito Lo Capo and the surrounding areas of Erice, Valderice, Custonaci and Buseto Palizzolo.
