The eight episodes of the series Roberta Valente - Notaio in Sorrento introduce a new professional figure to the screen, a public notary, played by Maria Vera Ratti (Enrica in Commissario Ricciardi), alongside Alessio Lapice (Constable Ippazio Calogiuri from Imma Tataranni), as Stefano. The cast also includes Flavia Gatti as Leda, Erasmo Genzini as Vito, and Sebastiano Somma as Capasanta.
As the title suggests, the series is set in Sorrento, where filming took place for 10 weeks (plus 4 in Rome) from October 2024 to February 2025.
"Sorrento is key to this story: the city is not just a postcard, but a real character. The palette of the photography sought to enhance the warm colours of the Mediterranean, alternating natural lights that enhance the beauty of the peninsula with more intimate and cosy interiors, reflecting moments of introspection for Roberta, Stefano, Leda, Vito, and the others," writes director Vincenzo Pirozzi. "The atmosphere of Sorrento, with its warm light and vibrant colours, acts as a counterpoint to the protagonist's inner rigidity, creating a visual contrast between the order she imposes on herself and the unpredictable vitality of the world around her.

Rai Fiction, Rodeo Drive
Deeply affected by tragedy at a young age, Roberta has a need for control that leads her to plan every aspect of life, under the illusion of protecting herself from unpleasant surprises. She excelled at school and university, and even topped the public notary exam, allowing her to choose a position in Sorrento where she grew up and hometown to Stefano, the long-time boyfriend she wants to marry.
As a new notary, she will tackle a series of highly unusual, intriguing, and captivating cases. These shatter the notion that a notary's work is free from unexpected events, and frequently place Roberta in awkward situations from which she escapes only thanks to her enviable professionalism.
