Jesse Williams (Your Place Or Mine, Only Murders In The Building, Broadway’s Take Me Out) stars in Hotel Costiera, an original Italian action drama series for Prime Video, filmed in English and directed by Emmy winner Adam Bernstein and Giacomo Martelli.
Co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Lux ??Vide, a Fremantle company, the six-episode series is scheduled to debut on Prime Video on September 24, 2025 after a preview presentation at the 71st Taormina Film Festival in the presence of Jesse Williams.
Jesse Williams plays the role of Daniel De Luca, a former marine of Italian origins who returns to Italy, the country of his childhood, to work as a problem solver for one of the most luxurious hotels in the world, located on the spectacular Positano coastline.
In addition to solving the problems of the hotel’s wealthy guests, Daniel is also on the trail of the owner’s daughter, Alice, who been missing for a month. Daniel must do everything he can to bring her home, but facing those who kidnapped the girl will be a challenge greater than any he has faced before.
"It's incredible“ says the actor who is also a producer on the series. “Every part of the country I've been to is spectacular, welcoming and with its own cultural identity. I had been to Rome, Venice, but I had never visited the Amalfi Coast before producing this series and everything about this place has influenced the work process. And so, as you fall in love with a new part of the country, you have the opportunity to make some changes and adjust the story and the characters. Italian, British and American writers worked on the script together to find something that would work for many countries, because we wanted something that would offer the beauty of Italy to be shared with the whole world".
In addition to the international cast, the series Costiera features a compelling plot, fast-paced action and comedy, an enigmatic protagonist and spectacular locations.
Jesse Williams is joined by a large cast of Italian and international faces including Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva,Jean-Hugues Anglade.
Based on an idea by Luca Bernabei, Costiera is written by Elena Bucaccio, Matthew Parkhill and Francesco Arlanch; and co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Luca Bernabei for Lux Vide, a company of the Fremantle group.
Prime Video holds the exclusive rights for Italy, France, Spain and Portugal, while Fremantle will handle global sales in all other territories.
