Located on a hill of olive groves and vineyards in the small hamlet of Monsummano Terme, approximately 15km from Pistoia, the Villa Medicea of Montevettolini was commissioned by Ferdinando I de’ Medici and building began in 1597. The building, shaped like a polygon, looks like a fortress with its white plaster and simple corner stones. The villa, privately owned, has a large garden with patio and swimming pool.
