Ca' Marcello in Levada (Padua) is an elegant 16th century villa which was extended, decorated and furnished in the 18th century. The residence, still inhabited by the Marcello counts, is surrounded by an Italian garden and a large park, covering an area of about 90,000 m2.
The villa is furnished with furniture, curtains and decorative objects. The piano nobile boasts five large frescoes by Giovanni Battista Crosato, an influential 18th century artist of European fame. The imposing central halls are spread over two floors, connected by a staircase.
On the upper floor is a ballroom, frescoed with scenes from the life of Alexander the Great framed by stuccos and appliques, while the ceiling depicts Olympus and his divinities.
The villa has already been used as a set and has staff, spaces and services for the crews.
